The Navajo Nation Legislative Process Policy is an approved policy (NABIMA-16-17) narrating the common stage of the legislative process in which a legislation navigates through the process in becoming a resolution.
Major Steps:
1 Initiating / Drafting legislation (anyone w/help of delegate)
2 Office of Legislative Services legislation intake and review
3 Office of the Speaker review
4 Initiate legislation public comment (on DiBB)
5 Digital distribution of legislation
6 Public comment review (OLS Director)
7 Standing Committee referral(s)
8 Navajo Nation Council referral
